Hello from Kauai

Sharing some pictures with my shuffleboard friends from the beautiful Island of Kauai. Life is good!

The Rose Winged Parakeets noisily greet each sunrise here. Nature's alarm clock!

The African Tulip Trees here are magnificent! Can't get enough of them!

A land of awesome waterfalls. Waipo'o Falls at Waimea Canyon.

Opaeka'a Falls

Wailua Falls

Amazing tree at Princeville, north island

And of course the Bird of Paradise flower

Part of our hike along the south coastline to see a cave and a refuge for the African Spurred Tortoise

November/December Membership Christmas Luncheon

Late posting.
There were 37 hungry members and guests attending the Christmas Luncheon at The Bistro on December 23rd. The food was amazing and the service by Robin and her staff outstanding. No pictures this year as the photographer was holding out for a raise in the New Year hahaha!

Large Turnout for The 1st Bowling Pin Shuffleboard Game of 2020

Nine courts of gamblers. Barb has counted the jackpot and patiently awaits the final tallies.
Note the handy utility cart to help transfer the heavy pins!

"We beat the boyz!" and one point is all it took. Well done ladies!

Traffic jam and we still have an upright pin, wow

                                        OH,OH best describes this photo

Tony does not seem too upset about making his deposit for  knocking over the pin!

And we are happy to report that the amputation of Norb's hand is not necessary due to his excellent healing body and medical expertise.

Appreciations and Moving forward in 2020

We have an amazing Shuffleboard Committee. Shout out and well done to Rene Maurier (Chair), Barb Stolz (Vice Chair), Nancy Bell (Sec/Treas), Irene Hall (Special Events), Members at Large Keith Williams & Dave Mois. It has been an ongoing drama reguarding the shed, but a plan is in motion. Our committee requested and graciously welcomed Management to a meeting Friday January 3rd at the courts when we were able to reach a concensus that was acceptable to all parties concerned.
And what an amazing membership crew that tirelessly show up every day to ready the courts for our members to enjoy their beloved game on clean, dry surfaces...we thank you and well done!

And the rains are relentless.

December 28th and all is not well. The locals welcome this much needed moisture. A little inconvenient for our ground crew. Good work team and thank you!

                                            Does Rene look impressed?

Merry Christmas to Rene & Anita
